(Senior) Python AI/Data Engineer - We are looking for a skilled Python AI/Data Engineer to join our development team. You will play a key role in building and scaling intelligent data systems, leveraging both traditional data engineering and modern AI tooling. What awaits you

  • Design and develop scalable backend systems using Python, FastAPI, Flask or Django
  • Integrate and manage PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and vector databases
  • Develop AI-powered applications using tools like LlamaIndex, LangChain, OpenAI APIs, and scikit-learn
  • Build intelligent retrieval and reasoning pipelines (e.g., RAG, agentic workflows)
  • Work with large datasets using Databricks, pandas, Spark, and Azure Data Factory
  • Deploy applications to AWS and Azure, leveraging cloud-native features
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab/GitHub and manage infrastructure using Terraform  

What we expect from you

  • Personal background: You have a qualification as a Python developer, AI developer or data Engineer.

  • Expertise: You have initial experience with FastAPI, Django or Flask and REST API design. You have deep understanding of relational and vector databases

  • Hands-on with AI development, including prompting, LLMs, agent frameworks, data engineering and ETL pipelines

  • You are familiar with cloud services (AWS/Azure) and have a good understanding of DevOps practices and tools

  • Mindset: You are solution- and service-oriented, reliable, responsible for actions and enjoy teamwork.

  • Let's talk: If you speak fluent English (and possibly German), you'll fit right in at Exxeta.

Nice to Have:

    • Experience with real-time data processing

    • Contributions to open-source AI/data projects

    • Knowledge of other languages or frameworks beneficial to data/AI systems
