As a Data Engineer (all genders), you will work in a motivated team on developing, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines, automating data processing, and creating tools that make large-scale data more accessible and easier to analyze.

(Mobile working is possible)  

What awaits you

  • Design and develop scalable backend systems using Python
  • Work with large datasets using Databricks and Spark
  • Build intelligent retrieval and reasoning pipelines (e.g., RAG, agentic workflows)
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab/GitHub, including Declarative Automation Bundles for managing infrastructure in Databricks

What we expect from you

  • Personal background: A degree in the field of (business) informatics, comparable courses of study or trainings
  • You have a qualification as Data Engineer or Python developer
  • Expertise: You have initial experience of Databricks - Knowledge of Unity Catalog, Delta Lake concept, and Declarative Automation Bundles
  • You are familiar with PySpark (Python API for Apache Spark) and SQL
  • Experience designing AI systems for data analysis is a plus
  • Version control with Git is essential
  • Mindset: You are solution- and service-oriented, reliable, responsible for actions and enjoy a teamwork
  • Let's talk: If you speak English and Slovak fluently (and possibly German), you'll fit right in at Exxeta
  • This position is for you, if you are looking for a fulltime employment in a modern company (B2B contract of freelance work not possible)
